According to ASME B30 Safety Standards, a placement boom inspection falls under the “periodic inspections” category, which generally states that a qualified person must conduct a placement boom inspection at least once a year, or more frequently, depending on equipment age or annual hours of operation.  The inspection process encompasses both visual NDT (VT) and hands-on inspection NDT (MT). Certified inspectors clearly document issues in a detailed report that includes photos. This report provides precise information to our certified welders who complete repairs using manufacturer specific procedures.  This thorough process includes a comprehensive checklist and SOPs endorsed by each pump manufacturer.
